金融海啸席捲全球，身在大马的我们也不可幸免！投资者个个心生忧虑：股票还可以买吗？基金还可以投资吗？投资策略是否改变？如何在金融海啸中找到投资机会？
为解除投资者以及读者们心中的困惑，《精明理财》特别主办《08~09年储蓄与投资展览及讲座会》，主题为“精明储蓄与投资，财务自由不是梦”。此项展览与讲座会预计将有超过20家本地与国际金融机构参展，涉及领域包括银行服务、證券投资 、基金管理等。
除了会展示多种类型的金融产品与服务外，系列投资讲座会也将会分析现时与未来的投资策略，为参观者提供最新的投资资讯与机会。此外，主办单位也将配合时局主办两场分别以中文及英文主讲的“金融海啸投资迷思”座谈会，邀请国内专家学者针对目前全球金融问题，为投资者与读者抽丝剥茧，理出迷思，积极走向充满机会的未来！
上述活动拟定於11月21-22日及12月6-7日，分别於吉隆坡与槟城主办。活动详细内容如下：

Money Compass magazine is organizing the Save 'n' Invest '08~'09 Seminars and Advisory Roadshow with an objective of providing information on Smart Saving & Investment to the public. This will be a public event with exhibition on various types of financial products and services. Other than that, investment talks will be lined up to analyze the current and future investment strategy for the visitors with the latest information and investment opportunities.
In conjunction with the event, there will be a forum titled "Investment Myth on Global Financial Crisis" to be held at 7:30pm on 21 Nov and 2:30pm on 22 Nov. The forums will be presented in Mandarin and English respectively. Local experts from the industry are invited to share their opinions and sort the myth out based the financial crisis happening now.
With the theme "Save and Invest for Financial Freedom", 20 local and international financial institutes are expected to come in as exhibitor, which including Bankers, Securities Firms, Unit Trust Companies, Funds Management Companies, etc.
